Open for Agents Assistant

A site Assistant that uses only the tools you approved

Give visitors a natural way to explore content, work with an eligible form, or compare WooCommerce products—without giving the Assistant unrestricted access to WordPress.

Try the official demo in your browser. We provide the Assistant add-on and managed service directly for selected projects. There is no public download or self-service plan yet.

The Storefront Assistant proposes, confirms, applies, and undoes a real cart change
The Assistant proposes a real WooCommerce cart change, waits for the visitor to approve it, applies it, and offers Undo.

What the visitor sees

Visitors can see what the Assistant is doing

The Assistant appears on the site as a focused conversation interface. It answers from real site state, shows tool activity, and pauses for approval before a supported action changes anything.

Content

Visitors can ask about approved posts, navigation, site information, and other read-only content without maintaining a separate copy for the Assistant.

Forms

An eligible Contact Form 7 or WPForms Lite form can be enabled individually. The visitor reviews the exact field values before an irreversible submission.

WooCommerce

Visitors can search and compare real products. A supported cart change becomes a proposal that requires approval before WordPress applies it.

How it works

How Core, the Assistant, and the hosted service work together

Core plugin

Decides what agents may know and do.

Assistant add-on

Provides the on-site conversation interface.

Secure hosted service

Safely connects the Assistant to the model and the site’s reviewed capabilities.

Technical documentation may call the secure service a gateway. The visitor-facing product is Open for Agents Assistant. See how it relates to direct browser-agent access.

Secure approval

The Assistant cannot use tools you have not approved

Reviewed tools only

The model receives only the tools approved for the active site and page. It cannot add more tools from the browser.

Exact approval

Before a supported write, the visitor sees the proposed action and exact arguments. Execution proceeds only after that approval.

Undo where supported

Reversible actions such as supported cart changes can expose Undo. Irreversible form submissions do not pretend to be reversible.

Credentials stay server-side

Visitors do not paste a model API key into WordPress or the browser. Model credentials remain on the secure service.

Checkout and payment

The Assistant stops before checkout, payment, and account control

The current Assistant can help visitors understand content, prepare a reviewed form submission, and work with approved cart tools. Checkout, payment, order placement, authentication, and account changes remain human-only.

Developers may run a compatible gateway on their own infrastructure. They are responsible for its model credentials, origin restrictions, and security controls. Most site owners should use the official demo until a managed service becomes available.
