Legal

Trademark Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026.

1. Open-source code and brand identity are separate

The Open for Agents WordPress plugin is distributed under the GNU General Public License. That licence permits copying, modification, redistribution, and forks under its terms. It does not grant a right to use the Open for Agents name, logo, visual identity, or official service identity in a way that suggests a fork or third-party product is produced, sponsored, certified, or endorsed by Enoki Limited.

2. Our marks

Open for Agents, the Open for Agents logo, and the distinctive branding used for the official plugin, Assistant, gateway, demos, website, and related services are trademarks and brand identifiers of Enoki Limited. The official website is openforagents.com.

3. Canonical official implementation

The following surfaces identify the canonical Open for Agents implementation operated or published by Enoki Limited:

  • the official website at www.openforagents.com;
  • the official documentation at www.openforagents.com/docs;
  • the official WordPress plugin listing linked from this website after WordPress.org approves and publishes it; and
  • the Enoki-operated hosted gateway used by the official demos and selected approved deployments.

Until an approved WordPress.org listing is linked here, no listing should be treated as the official Open for Agents plugin. Compatible forks, gateways, documentation, and services operated by others are independent unless we expressly state otherwise.

4. Uses that do not require permission

You may make truthful, non-confusing references such as:

  • stating that software is a fork of or based on Open for Agents;
  • describing factual compatibility with Open for Agents;
  • linking to the official project or discussing it in reviews, documentation, or reporting; and
  • retaining copyright, licence, and attribution notices required by the distributed software.

These references must not use our marks more prominently than your own product name or imply an official relationship that does not exist.

5. Uses that require written permission

Unless applicable law permits the use independently, please obtain written permission before:

  • using Open for Agents or a confusingly similar term as the name, slug, domain, company, or primary branding of a fork or competing product;
  • using the Open for Agents logo or copying the official product's visual identity;
  • claiming that a third-party plugin, gateway, service, compatibility result, or certification is official, approved, sponsored, or endorsed; or
  • presenting a modified build as an unmodified official Open for Agents release.

6. Forks and modified versions

Forks should use a clearly distinct product name and visual identity, identify themselves as modified or independently maintained, and retain all applicable copyright, licence, and attribution notices. A fork may truthfully describe its origin without presenting itself as the official Open for Agents plugin or service.

7. Questions and permission requests

Contact hello@openforagents.com before using the marks when you are unsure whether a proposed use could imply endorsement or affiliation.

This policy concerns trademarks and branding; it does not reduce the permissions granted by the plugin's open-source licence. See also: Terms of Service.
